This year's ONA conference includes a pre-conference hands-on training session presented Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004 through a partnership between the Society of News Design (SND) and the ONA.
The day-long training session, which will be presented at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, is based on SND's highly successful Quick Course program and is available to ONA members at the reduced rate of $125.

- How to pick a project
- Setting up your team (even if it’s just you)
- Workflow management
- Tools of the trade: Digital cameras, camcorders and tape recorders

This is an introductory class, so no multimedia/software experience is necessary.
Participants are required to bring their own laptops. Macintosh and Windows computers will work nd all software will be supplied.
