In a few weeks, the entries for the Online Journalism Awards competition will be ready for screening. You can help us pick the winners for the 2005 competition by becoming a screener.

As a screener, you will have several weeks to get the job done. The screening will start on Thursday, July 21, and the deadline will be Saturday, Aug. 13.

In past years, screeners have found the process to be a great opportunity to review some of the best work on the Web. Often, they see examples of great online journalism that they would not otherwise have seen.

Most screeners review entries over the course of three days. If you sign up, I will start feeding entries to you for review on July 21.
