Writes, edits, and proofreads a variety of news content for the Web. Produces online presentations of on-air stories; integrates multimedia content, including slideshows and videos. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-4 years of newsroom experience; solid, independent news judgement; demonstrated news writing and copy-editing abilities; ability to adapt to changes in equipment, software and workflow.

REQUIREMENTS

Work 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. shift plus additional hours as assigned. Update Web site with overnight/morning content; aggressively track and publish breaking news; work with Morning News Executive Producer on cooperation between newscasts and Web; attend morning editorial meeting to help develop Web site opportunities.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Recommended skills: basic HTML, some Photoshop experience, familiarity with AP Stylebook, some experience with content management systems or online publishing. Reports to Webmaster. Reliable, dependable, able to keep line of communication open, able to work unsupervised.
