Introduction: Students and educators involvement is essential to ONA’s success. In recognition of this, the ONA Board approved a five-year strategic initiative beginning in 2006 to develop specialized programs and member benefits for this critical constituency.
ONA Student and Educator Strategic Plan
Vision:
Over the next 5 years ONA's Education/Student committee is committed to developing more robust benefits for ONA Student Membership.
As ONA's student and campus based activities mature, the ONA board will continually review activities and consider proposals to institutionalize ONA student programs through ongoing committee work, bi-laws reviews and development efforts.
We have 5 key open positions that we need to fill to work toward the strategic plan. They include:
1. Committee Co-Chair
2. Professional Development: Mentoring and Internships
3. Best Practices: Student Work and Awards Programs
4. Community: Campus Clubs, Activities and Communications
5. Academics: Research and Curriculum Development
We’re planning a kick off conference call on:
Wednesday March 15, 2006
10:30 am ECT
7:30 am PCT
