Online News Association, CyberJournalist.net partner

The Online News Association and CyberJournalist.net have entered into a partnership intended to further active discussion of journalism issues and further the association's goal of promoting excellence in online journalism.

The alliance brings together the nation's preeminent online news association and one of the leading online news and resource sites about digital media.

The partnership is designed to engender greater awareness of ONA's mission within the journalism community, while in turn providing a wider audience for Cyberjournalist.net.

CyberJournalist.net focuses on how the Internet, convergence and new technologies are transforming the media. The site features a Great Work Gallery of outstanding online storytelling; tips on how to produce better online journalism; a Weblog Blog that tracks Weblogs' impact on journalism; a Citizen Media Monitor; and the CyberJournalist SuperSearch newsgathering tool. The site also has the Internet's most comprehensive lists of journalists who blog and citizen media efforts.

CyberJournalist.net is published by Jonathan Dube, an award-winning print and online journalist who founded the site in 2000 and serves as the site's editor-in-chief. Dube is currently MSNBC.com's managing producer, a Poynter.org columnist and an ONA board member.

The Online News Association is an organization composed largely of professional online journalists. The association is dedicated to promoting editorial integrity, independence, excellence and freedom of expression in digital news. For more information about ONA, visit the association's site at http://journalists.org.

CyberJournalist.net was previously published in partnership with The Media Center at the American Press Institute.

For more information about CyberJournalist.net, contact Dube at editor@cyberjournalist.net. For more information about ONA and its role in the partnership, contact ONA President Ruth Gersh at rgersh@ap.org.
