Morris Digitalworks launches MDTransit 2.0 on Amarillo Globe-News website

Morris DigitalWorks, the online division of Morris Communications Company, LLC, announced today the release and deployment of its mdTransit 2.0 technology at Amarillo Globe-News, on its Web site at www.drive.amarillo.com. Amarillo Globe-News is a daily newspaper owned by Morris Publishing Group, LLC.

MdTransit is a licensed and ASP-hosted automotive solution for newspapers that focuses on satisfying consumer needs, while also generating quality leads and sales to the newspaper's local market dealers.

"This is an extension of the investment and commitment we made when we acquired the Cobalt Media Services online automotive platform," said Michael Romaner, president of Morris Digital Works.

The powerful new autos portal technology in mdTransit 2.0 features an innovative lifestyle approach and navigation that allows users to access inventory and relevant content through a wide array of search options. Seamless integration of trusted industry resources, including Edmunds, Chrome and New Car Test Drive, keep the Web users in the newspaper’s Web site, increasing advertising opportunities.

"We’re excited to be involved in the first phase of deployment for mdTransit 2.0," said Steve Metzinger, advertising director at Amarillo Globe-News. "This is truly a 'new face' in online autos and a welcome one. MdTransit 2.0 takes a huge step toward leveraging our strength of content and growing new audience."
