We Media: Behold the Power of Us

October 5, 2005, at the Associated Press' world headquarters in New York City

In a series of dialogs loosely modeled after Inside the Actors Studio, some of the leading thinkers and innovators at the intersection of media, technology and society will address the phenomenon of mass collaboration, focusing on such topics as citizen journalism; activism and democracy; media gawking; culture, politics and buzz; marketing; and trust networks.

Some of those attending incluce: CBS Digital Media President Larry Kramer, craigslist Founder Craig Newmark, Wonkette Editor Ana Marie Cox and NY Times Columnist Nick Kristof are only a few of the amazing people who will appear at The Media Center’s conference:

All the nitty-gritty speaker and program details here: http://www.mediacenter.org/wemedia05/ .

This will be The Media Center's most high-profile, ambitious event to date, designed to advance our mission to help create a better-informed society in a connected world.

* We Media will be live-blogged, so you'll be able to follow
and comment on the proceedings.

* If you could pick the brains of our speakers, what would you
want to know? What you would ask or say to them? Tell us here and we'll make sure they see it. In fact, we'll use your thoughts and ideas to help shape the We Media program.

So don't be shy.
