The deadline for entries to the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) Journalism Award is fast approaching.
All articles, in general media or specialized medical media, must be published before December 31, 2005 to be eligible. However, entries will be accepted until January 31, 2006. Prizes are valued over USD 17,000.
The IOF is a global organization dedicated to advancing the understanding of osteoporosis and to promoting prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease. With this award, the IOF wishes to recognize excellence in print reporting about osteoporosis around the world.
An international panel of senior journalists and a leading medical expert will judge these awards and the winners will be announced at a special ceremony at the 2006 World Osteoporosis Congress in Toronto in June 2006. An entry form and background information is available on the IOF website http://www.osteofound.org/press_centre/journalism_award.html
These awards are open to journalists from every country, and are supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Roche-GSK.
