Sue Johnson has been photographing in the townships outside of Cape Town for several years. (Her work, ‘My House, My Shack’ was a recent finalists in the ONA awards.) She has recently started a photographer’s collective with young photographers in the townships.
The group is learning business skills along with their photo workshops. The goal is to create a self-sustaining micro-enterprise that will give young people real work experience and marketable skills. They need your help.
Do you have old digital equipment that you could donate to the group?
They are looking for:
3.2 Megapixel cameras or better, flash cards and battery chargers.
If you or your organization has anything like this sitting in a closet and you would like to see it put to good use, please contact Sue Johnson at sue@suejaye.com
