The 2006 EPpy™ Awards competition is expressly designed to honor Internet sites that are affiliated with the media industry, and especially newspapers, television networks and affiliates, radio networks, syndicated shows, local radio stations, and magazines.

The deadline for entries are Feb. 3, 2006.

There are five new categories this year: Best Weekly Newspaper-Affiliated Web Service and four media-affiliated blog categories (News, Sports, Business and Entertainment).

Formerly a competition for the interactive newspaper industry only, the 2006 EPpy™ Awards acknowledges that all media sites compete for users and revenues in the maturing Internet business. And it acknowledges the broadened scope of the Interactive Media Conference and Trade Show, presented by Editor & Publisher and Mediaweek. The awards will be presented at the Interactive Media Conference and Trade Show, May 18-19, 2006, at the Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The e-commerce application is designed for eligible companies to enter their Internet services to compete for honors in the 2006 EPpy™ Awards competition. It features a shopping basket to enable you to enter multiple contest categories and check out just once. And it is equipped with Verisign’s automatic credit card authorization and debiting system.
