Going Local: Is it hyper or is it hype?
Best practices for creating effective local audience strategies

News and the Online News Association invite you to the inaugural Southern California News Forum, the first in a series of events addressing the issues most important to the Southern California news community. This inaugural event will feature a panel discussion on the latest trends in local news coverage, focused on best practices and ideas for developing audience focused websites, tools and community offerings. Participants in this 90 minute panel will discuss what’s worked, lessons learned, and thoughts on the future of local online news platforms, covering topics that include:

-What is the role of user generated content in covering local news?
