Ms. Nixon has garnered many awards and distinctions, including a Webby, a European Online Journalism Award and the BBC World Service Editor of the Year Award in 2007.
“The NowPublic team has blazed trails from Day One and clearly mainstream media is now embracing the media model that NowPublic originated,” said Ms. Nixon. “I look forward to helping NowPublic further define the standards for news in an increasingly digital global community where everyone has the power to report.”
