Transforming the Newsroom

July 14-16, 2008

API

Reston, Va.

The days of department silos and the print-centric news assembly line are coming to an end.

What's needed now is an agile, audience-driven, multi-platform news operation.

At this new seminar from API, senior news executives will learn how to lead the transformation to the new newsroom. They will learn how successful leaders foster innovation and collaboration. They will envision new job responsibilities and rewards, and they will construct an ethical framework for journalism in today's shifting media landscape.

ONA members qualify for a special 10% tuition discount.

Who should attend?

Senior newsroom executives who play a role in developing strategies for online and print, and editors preparing to assume any of these responsibilities.

DETAILS:

Location: Reston, Va. (Located 20 miles west of Washington, D.C.)
Tuition: Take advantage of your ONA membership and save 10% on the seminar tuition of $1,875. Your investment is only $1,688. (Group meals are included in seminar tuition.) For details, please contact seminar moderator and API Associate Director Mary Glick.

Hotel and meals: The hotel package at the Hyatt Regency Reston Town Center, API's conference hotel, is $735. This charge is in addition to the tuition fee, and is paid directly to the hotel by the seminar member upon checkout.
