AVINA Foundation awards journalism grants on Latin America

The AVINA Awards of Investigative Journalism for Sustainable Development finances journalistic investigations features focused on regions or countries in Latin America regarding six themes: climate change, art and education, inclusive businesses, integration of Latin America, transparency and social inclusion.

Non-Latin American journalists may apply supported by European and North American media and the journalistic piece may relate these regions and countries to Latin America.

Application is easy and can be done until Tuesday July 1st (In one week). To learn more about the conditions and requirements for participating, please visit www.avina.net (there is an English version of the site).

AVINA Awards for Investigative Journalism is supported by the Association of European Journalists (APE), the Inter-American Press Association (IAPA), Alliance of Communicators for Sustainable Development (ComPlus), Reporters d`espoir, International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at the University of Texas in Austin, Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano (FNPI), Foro de Periodismo Argentino (Fopea), Asociação Brasileira de Jornalismo Investigativo (Abraji), Instituto Prensa y Sociedad (Ipys), Agência de Notícias dos Direitos da Infância (ANDI), the Communication Initiative Latin America (CILA).

AVINA is a Latin American foundation aimed at contributing towards sustainable development in the region thus fostering alliances among social and business leaders and organizations.
