The Online News Association has been awarded a $60,000 grant from the Challenge Fund for Journalism, a joint initiative of The Ford Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, McCormick Foundation, and Ethics & Excellence in Journalism Foundation.

To receive the grant, the ONA must raise at least $90,000 in individual donations within the next year. The funds will go toward expand services to ONA members, including a greatly expanded website and more regional events.

Members will be hearing more about this grant and ONA's fund-raising efforts in the coming months.
